98 year old dobri dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war, walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.

Today was the last day of school for me. Today, I met the founder of GenYES, I took my last final in Econ, I did all of my check out items, I got my cap and gown, and my old math teacher that was quite honestly like a father to me said he loved me and that he hoped I had all the tools to succeed, and hugged me with tears in his eyes.

Needless to say, I cried. There was a sense of finality in the air today, and that really made it real.

I graduate next Thursday. I still have to send in my Journalism final, but I am done. I am done with high school.

We had our GenYES banquet tonight. I am no longer Supreme Leader, hahah… The title has been passed on, and I am so excited to see how everything goes in the years to come :) And we had a damn good time, that’s for sure.

It’s crazy how quickly four years can pass when you’re having fun and learning every day.

I really am going to miss you, Paradise Valley. I really am.

I am 100% positive that she’s the sweetest girl ever

and I kinda like her a lot? and so I definitely said we should go on a date sometime

and she said a date with me would be a dream come true, and a whole bunch of other cute things that made me giggle <3

buuuuuut, she’s moving to chicago really soon.

Which is great for her! but dang it, I wanna just hug her so bad

and I wish she could come over and we could watch movies and we’ll make dinner together and we could snuggle and it would be just perfect

I dunno, even if it was just one date it’d be lovely I think. To have that memory.

Earlier today, CBS News reported that at least two of the Benghazi e-mails that were leaked by Republicans last Friday were altered. The GOP leak of the altered Benghazi e-mails came five days before the White House released 100 pages of e-mail correspondence regarding the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi.

One of the altered e-mails was from Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes. The other altered e-mail was from U.S. State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.

Here’s the Republican version of the Rhodes e-mail:

We must make sure that the talking points reflect all agency equities, including those of the State Department, and we don’t want to undermine the FBI investigation.

Here’s the White House version of the Rhodes e-mail:

We need to resolve this in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation.

Here’s the Republican version of the Nuland e-mail:

The penultimate point is a paragraph talking about all the previous warnings provided by the Agency (CIA) about al-Qaeda’s presence and activities of al-Qaeda.

Republicans have been caught red-handed altering official e-mails sent in the immediate aftermath of the Benghazi attack. I’m not surprised that Republicans would pull such a stunt, after all, it was the Republicans who misled this country into the Iraq War!

Now, can we talk about the REAL Benghazi scandal…you know, the one about Republicans altering e-mails?

Hey, do you have something to say about western society? More importantly, do you want to write/display something and have it put in a MEGA SWEET ZINE?

LET ME KNOW. Because I’m creating a zine, entitled Western Influence.

It’s all about the issues with the way western society works today- industry, technology, law, politics, economics, lifestyle, diet, language, alphabet, religion, philosophy, and values… Everything.

Submissions can be just about anything- personal accounts, book recommendations, reports on current events, opinions on current events, photos, paintings, drawings, poetry, music reviews, ideas for social improvement, projects you did for school that were cool- ANYTHING. Just please try to keep it relevant to the culture as a whole.

I will be writing this first issue by myself (it’s technically a final for my journalism class!), but I really would love to make this a thing and to continue putting it together with other pieces from other lovely individuals :)

So yeah- send me a message if you’re interested in submitting some writing/drawing/photography/poetry/etc. for this thang.
